Brian Deegan and Rob MacCachren Both Victorious at Miller Motorsports Park

Thousands of race fans jammed Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT this past weekend for rounds 7 and 8 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS).

Rob MacCachren, center, and Brian Deegan, left, on the podium last weekend in Utah.

The stands were packed to the brim each day and the fans were rewarded with some of the best racing of the 2012 season. Makita power tools were at work in the pits, and Makita’s star athletes were fired up and ready to race.
Brian Deegan
Brian Deegan, X games legend and defending PRO 2 and PRO Lite champion, came out swinging and was tough to beat all weekend in his Rockstar Makita Ford Trucks. In fact, on Saturday he was unbeatable as he captured the win in both the PRO Lite and PRO 2 classes. Deegan showed why he is the defending champ, driving masterfully in both races and picking up some very valuable points in the overall championship points race.
Deegan had another great day on Sunday in Round 8 as he captured second place in PRO 2 class, and swept the weekend in the PRO Lite class with another win.
Rob MacCachren
Another fan favorite in the PRO 2 class is Rockstar Makita's Rob MacCachren, and he had a great weekend as well. On Saturday, Rob Mac was forced to work his way up from the back of the pack and he did so with some very calculated maneuvers. By the end of the race on Saturday he had moved his Rockstar Makita Ford truck up through the field and into third place. Unfortunately, Rob Mac fell victim to a penalty which docked some time and moved him back a couple of positions in the final finishing order.
Sunday was clearly Rob Mac's day to shine. He was the fastest man on the track and was able to cement the win with a flawless drive from start to finish.
Todd LeDuc
Pro 4 action produced some of the best racing of the weekend with Rockstar Makita's Todd LeDuc battling it out for the lead both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday Todd managed to lead most of the race but in the end he was overtaken on the last lap and forced to settle for second place. Sunday was a bit more of a challenge for Todd as he had to work his way up through the pack and by the halfway point of the race was sitting in third place. After charging hard through the pack, his truck began to experience some overheating issues and so LeDuc was forced to drive reserved for the remainder of the race but still managed to finish on the podium once again in third place. Todd has been on the podium at nearly every race and is currently second in the overall points chase in the competitive PRO 4 class.
Catch the Action on CBS Sports
It was a great weekend for the Makita-backed drivers as they dominated the podium all weekend. Catch all of the action from this weekend on CBS Sports and SPEED Channel in the upcoming weeks (check your local listings for broadcast dates and times).
