MAKITA LS1016L PICKED AS "EDITORS' CHOICE"

Makita is the only miter saw selected in annual awards

APRIL 26, 2010 – Tools of the Trade Magazine named the Makita 10” Dual Slide Compound Miter Saw (LS1016L) as a 2010 EDITORS’ CHOICE in their Spring 2010 issue.

The annual EDITORS’ CHOICE Award is Tools of the Trade’s once-a-year opportunity to tell their readers which ten new tools they think are the very best. This year, they told the remodelers and pro contractors who read the magazine that the Makita LS1016L was the best new miter saw (in fact, it was the only miter saw on their list).

Largest Crown Molding Cutting Capacity in its Class, and More
Makita\'s LS1016L has the largest crown molding cutting capacity (6-5/8" vertically nested) in its class. It has a patented 4-Steel Rail Sliding System that further increases rigidity to produce superior cuts, and an exclusive 6 linear ball bearings design for smooth, adjustment-free, "dead-on" accurate cuts right out of the box.

The LS1016L is engineered for finish work, remodeling, trim work, and furniture making. It is ideal for a broad range of trades, including finish carpenters, professional woodworkers, case and base installers, cabinet installers, cabinet manufacturers, closet installers, decking and flooring applications, siding installers, stair installers, and general contractors seeking a best-in-class 10" dual slide compound miter saw for the jobsite or the benchtop.
