LXT702

The smaller of the new Makita combo kits, the LXT702 is a 7-piece combo kit.  This kit includes a ½” Hammer Driver Drill, ¼” Hex Impact Driver, 4-½” Cut-Off Grinder, Reciprocating Saw, 6-1/2” Circular Saw, 4-Position Flashlight, and an AM/FM Radio (iPod®/mp3 player compatible) that all run on the same 18V Lithium-Ion battery.  Most 18V LXT Lithium-Ion tools have a built in L.E.D. light that helps illuminate the work surface, which makes these tools even more versatile for specific applications. This combo kit also comes with two 3.0Ah Lithium-Ion batteries and one Rapid Optimum Charger that will charge batteries in just 30 minutes, allowing minimal down-time on the job. 

LXT902

The nine-piece LXT902 is the LXT702 combo kit, plus two.  Makita added a ½” Impact Wrench and a 7/8” Rotary Hammer.  The ½” Impact Wrench delivers 170 ft lbs. of torque and weighs only 3.7 lbs.  The 7/8” Rotary Hammer has 2x faster drilling with synchronized RPM and BPM for more efficient drilling.  These two additional tools are ideal for automotive technicians, electricians, plumbers, masons, HVAC, and general contractors.  Combined, the LXT902 is a complete solution for the pro user who needs a variety of tools for many different applications. 

LXT1200

The 12-piece LXT1200 Combo Kit includes everything that is in the LXT902, plus a 3/8” Angle Drill, Drywall Screwdriver, a Fluorescent/Incandescent Flash light, plus a third 3.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery.  The 3/8” Angle Drill and the Drywall Screwdriver are two of Makita’s newest additions to the Lithium-Ion family which now consists of 31 total tools.  The new Drywall Screwdriver handles drywall and framing applications at 4,000 RPM while the Angle Drill has a variable speed of 0-1,800 RPM’s, both new tools are lightweight, have a built-in L.E.D. light and are ergonomically built to fit the hand of the pro user.  “The LXT1200 provides the pro-user with 12 18V LXT Lithium-Ion tools that cover a wide range of specialized applications when working with drywall, automotive, HVAC, or electrical,” said Haughawout.

LXT1500

Makita’s biggest combo kit is the 15-piece LXT1500.  This kit includes all 12 pieces that are in the LXT1200, plus a 5-3/8” Metal Cutting Saw, ½” high-torque Impact Wrench, an 18V Blower, a fourth 3.0Ah battery, and a second Rapid Optimum Charger.  Adding the ½” Impact Wrench brings 325 ft. lbs. of torque to this kit, while the metal cutting saw will provide 3,400 RPM’s of metal cutting speed, and Makita’s first ever Lithium-Ion blower will help clean up after the job is done.  The kit also includes four 18V Lithium-Ion batteries and two Rapid Optimum Chargers for increased battery and charging power – and less downtime on the jobsite.  With its wide range of cordless power tool solutions, the LXT1500 Combo Kit was built with every pro-user in mind.  “The LXT1500 is ideal for the pro-user that never has enough tools in there tool box and always wants the next best thing,” said Haughawout.  “This kit packs in 15 Lithium Ion tools including 3 brand new tools the Angle Drill, the Blower, and the Drywall Screwdriver.”
